Has anyone found CE modules that go beyond soft skills and get into QAPI, internal audits, and survey readiness? I need 24 hours by 10/31 and want courses with measurable objectives, solid post-tests, and clear alignment to CMS guidance and state board acceptance — bonus if they cover RCA, PDSA, and medication pass audit methodology. Providers you trust and any pitfalls (credits not accepted for LPNs, weak assessment rigor) would help.
Relias Academy has ANCC-accredited LPN CE on QAPI, mock survey/readiness, RCA/PDSA, and med pass audits with solid post-tests — start at https://reliasacademy.com and filter for “QAPI” and long-term care; pitfall: skip any course that doesn’t list RCA steps or include a med pass audit tool (think less TED Talk, more checklist). What state are you in so we can confirm board acceptance?
CEUfast got me over the 24-hour mark before 10/31 — take their QAPI course plus RCA and a short PDSA module; each lists ‘measurable objectives,’ ties back to CMS QAPI guidance, and the post-tests aren’t fluff. I saved PDFs of objectives and the ANCC provider number for our state board and double-checked acceptance in CE Broker; the only caveat is AAPACN’s QAPI cert is solid but pricier and more RN-oriented. Start here: https://ceufast.com.
Building on @elaine_chu52, AAPACN’s QAPI Foundations + RCA/PDSA bundle (Post-Acute Care Nursing Education and Certification - AAPACN) is ANCC-accredited, maps objectives to CMS, and the quiz is legit; I screenshot the ANCC statement and save the syllabus for board audits. Small caveat: some are RN-tagged, but my board counted them for LPN with ANCC — can your state confirm?
For my 24-hour crunch before 10/31, I paired Elite Learning for the CE credit with CMS QSEP for survey readiness and internal audit drills — the Elite certificates list “measurable objectives” and the post-tests were solid. Small caveat: QSEP (https://qsep.cms.gov) won’t give nursing CE credit, but it’s great for mapping out RCA/PDSA and a medication administration observation checklist you can cite on your post-test rationales.
